Conference of February 17‐19, 2010 in Dieppe, NB

“Newcomer Integration Conference: Strengthening Relationships between Public, Private & Non‐Profit Multicultural Sectors”

The “Newcomer Integration Conference: Strengthening Relationships between Public, Private, & Non‐Profit Multicultural Sectors” was held February 17‐19, 2010 in Dieppe, NB. With 105 attendees from the public, private and non‐profit sectors throughout the province, including ethno‐cultural/multicultural associations, settlement agencies and government, the conference provided the opportunity to enhance communication and information/resource exchange channels between and among key stakeholders and strengthen the relationship between public, private & non‐profit ethnocultural/multicultural sectors.

Objectives of the conference were to provide participants with the opportunity to:

• Share and discuss demographic, geographic and immigration realities in NB in a bilingual forum;
• Increase knowledge of current service providers on program activities and future initiatives for NB through presentations and group discussions;
• Enhance learning in a variety of program areas through round table sessions.
